Transport and logistics professionals receive Queen’s Birthday Honours

The Institute is delighted to announce that a number of its members and friends of the Institute have been recognised in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List for 2021. The list recognises the outstanding achievements of people across the UK.

Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE)

Professor Martin Christopher FCILT, Emeritus Professor of Marketing and Logistics, Cranfield School of Management, Cranfield University, for services to business, academia and the UK economy.

Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE)

Karen Gibson, Training Consultant, Karen Gibson Ltd, for services to safety in transport.

Medallist of the Order of the British Empire (BEM)

John Sidebotham, Programme Manager, Network Rail, for services to wellbeing during Covid-19.
