CILT(UK) elects three new board members
Following the recent board election process, I am pleased to announce that three new faces are joining the CILT(UK) board after the Institute completed its election process for 2021.
These new members will take up their positions as Directors and Trustees of CILT(UK) with effect from Monday 7th June 2021.
The new Board members are:
- Anna-Jane Hunter – Partner at Winder Philips Associates
- Dr Sarah Shaw – Doctor of Logistics & Programme Director at the University of Hull Business School
- Amy Shortman – Director of Product Marketing, Overhaul
As part of a qualified election process, the new board members were selected based on their skills knowledge and experience and to address requirements following a skills-based assessment of the board.
I welcome all three new board members and look forward to working closely with them as the Institute continues to deliver on its strategy to be essential to its members and the profession.
I would also like to extend my thanks to Chris Hutchinson and John Carr, whose term as board members recently ended. Their dedication to the role and exemplary commitment to supporting and developing the Institute have been instrumental in ensuring the Institute remains fit for the future. I am pleased that both will continue to contribute to the Institute in other capacities.
The elected term of Emma Ross also expired, however, I am delighted that she has agreed to continue on the board as a co-opted board member.
A short feature introducing the new board members will be published in an upcoming issue of Focus.
Alan Jones, Chairman, CILT(UK)
